My favorite place to travel

I don´t have a favorite place to travel, but this summer I traveled to the south of our country and I loved it! The south had many beautiful places; one of the places that I liked was “Petrohué Waterfalls”.
Petrohué Waterfalls is a waterfall of Petrohué River in Chile, it´s a short distance of the source of this river in Todos los Santos Lake. This waterfall is inside the Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park.
I like this place because it´s a magical and beautiful place and the surrounding area of the national park are beautiful too! I loved the path that I crossed to reach to Petrohué Waterfalls… it was an amazing travel! I also like this place because I did this trip with my family; it was the first distant journey that we make together and it served to unite us even more!
This place gave to me a good memories that I will never forget and I would love to visit again this place for continue building beautiful moments!
Here are some photos that I took in the Vicente Pérez Rosales national park:

Who is a person/expert on your field that you admire?

I really don´t have an expert on my field that I admire, but if I have to choose one it would be my teacher of legal psychology Elias Scaff.

He is a professor at the University of Chile in the field of legal psychology in the Faculty of Social Sciences and he is a professor. Also he is a professor coordinator of the Unit of Victimology Program Regular Training of Judges in the Judicial Academy and Academic Director of the Masters in Forensic Intervention and legal strategy at the Universidad Diego Portales.

Elias Scaff created the first victimology center in our country (CAVAS). He directed the Institute of Criminology and he was Manager of the National Division for Victims and Witnesses.

I like him because he is a reference in the area of psychology that I like and he is one of the pioneers in legal psychology in Chile. Also, he worked in areas that I would like to work… so it is a reference to me.

Job expectations after university

After graduating as a psychologist I would work in government institutions like PDI (Policía de investigaciones de Chile) or in GENCHI (Gendarmería de Chile) as a legal psychologist.
If I work in PDI, I would like to work in INSCRIM (Instituto de criminología) doing psychological assessment or I would like to work in CAVAS (Centro de atención psicológico a víctimas de atentados sexuales) in the area of reparation for victims of sexual offenses or in the area of of assessment of defendants. If I work in GENCHI, I would like to work in the rehabilitation of prisoners. I think working for these institutions is very useful for our country and I believe that psychology can be a real contribution.
Anyway, I do not rule out working for a while in the clinical area of psychology, I think can be very useful for my future work.
After having experience, I like to do a Masters in the area of legal psychology. I am not sure which kind of Masters that will depend on where I am working and I use it as a support tool. However, I would make the magister in Spain.

My brothers and me

I can’t remember who took this picture but i think that was my boyfriend or my sister in law with my camera. This picture was taken for my birthday number eighteen celebrated in my grandfather’s home.

The photo shows me and my three older brothers. The man with the hat is my older brother, he is twenty eight years old and he is an English teacher, he teaches english in universities, specifically in the Universidad Andrés Bello, British University, Universidad de Valparaíso and Universidad Mayor. The man with black t-shirt is my second older brother, he is twenty seven years old and he is a teacher of history, he actually teaches in “Colegio El Sembrador” of Puente Alto. This school is the same school where my mom works. The man with the plaid shirt is my other brother, he is twenty five years old and he is a teacher of mathematics in Colegio Everest of Vitacura.

I like this picture very much because my brothers are really important in my life… i love them a lot! In the school days, they helped me to study and they are always present in my life… they teach me about life!!! hahaha

LCD

I don´t like very much the technology but if I have to choose my favourite piece of technology would be my LCD. My big brother gave to me in my birthday number 18.
I use my LCD every day for to watch movies (terror and suspense) and The Simpsons. Also, I often use it to watch tv series too like criminal minds, CSI and the big bang theory. I can watch movies or series of internet in my LCD too, that it´s really awesome because before you couldn’t do that!
I love this technological device because I can watch movies with my family and I can watch series with my boyfriend. It is a forum for sharing and spending a good time with them.
I think if the LCD didn´t exist… to watch movies could be expensive because you´d have to always to go to cinema and tv series wouldn´t exist! And my free time could be more boring… I really love to watch movies!!!
